Continuing through my discussion of Crime and Punishment where I explained how Raskolinikov refused to accept his guilt for murdering the old women. Raskolinkov is still panicking and suspicious of everyone he meets. Raskolinkov believe that he has a different Ideology then the rest of us. Raskolinkov on the one hand is brilliant beyond his years, but on the other hand has no clue what he is saying. Through reading Through part three I have realized that Raskolinkov consent complaint is that people who are not helping society or hurting others by their presence must be disposed.
A certain new, unalterable sensation was gaining a stronger and stronger hold of him with practically every minute that passed; it was an infinite, almost physical revulsion to everything he encountered and everything that surrounded him, an emotion that was insistent, hostile, and full of hatred. |
Raskolinkov is a very interesting individual. I, as a reader want to hate him because he is full of hate. However, he is someone who has had nothing, but disappointment. He has no money and has been not very successful in his scholarly works. This is nothing but trouble. I believe Raskolinkov is experiencing the Hermeneutic Code showed when for example he questions himself about everything and every interaction he makes with his interactions with friends and family. The main problem he has, however, is he doesn't believe he belongs with anyone.
they have to find a new location to sit down and relax. He found all the people he met repulsive-their faces, their manner of walking, their movements were repulsive to him. He reflected that if anyone had said anything to him he would quite simply have spat at that person, or bitten him... |
Now, i get really clear picture of Raskolikov who has become a villain in his own book. To emphasis this point he uses words like repulsive, spit or bite him. He has an expression towards violence. For the information I've been given I believe why this happened is his time spent at the university and the attention of his sister getting married to whom he doesn't seem like a great match. Because once again a family member is scarficing her love life for his own beafit. This is something he hates being owed to someone especially family. What I really hate is Raskolinkov accusing someone of not benefiting society... Wait.. this is the reason he murdered the old women! He is even confronted by his weakness.
"I say, you're seriously ill, do you know that?" he began to feel his pulse; Raskolinikov tore his hand free. 'Stop it,'Iv'e come...look: I've got no teaching... I was going to...actually, i don't need any teaching at all... 'You know something? You're delirious!' Razumikhin observed, studying him with fixed attention. p.135 |
Through this discussion with Razumiuhih we see that Raskolinkov doesn't really care for him. What he wishes to be is left alone
"I think you must have the DT'S!' Razumikhin roared at last, frantic with rage. "what kind of playacting is this? You've got me, so I don't weather I'm coming or going...what did you come here for, damn it' |
It's quite obvious that Razumikhin is fustrated with him. Rasholikov is acting like none of he says matters. In responce his friend becomes very angery shouting. This shows further evidence that Rasholikov dosen'tb really care about the people surrounding him. This is an example of___
